An exhibition at Olympia London 26th February to 3rd March 2002 The paintings and drawings will come from more than fifty separate private owners. Such an assembly has not been seen before and it is likely that it will not be seen again - at least not for decades. Vaughan’s first exhibition in 1944 was a success. He sold well throughout his lifetime and his work is in demand now. The best of it is eagerly purchased, and among those who acquire are many who take it to America or the Far East. Olympia offers a six-day opportunity to view the works of a seldom seen outstanding British artist.
The Olympia Fine Art and Antiques Fair Spring 2002 from 26th February to 3rd March 2002 An important re-evaluation of British artist Keith Vaughan (1912 - 1977). This is the first major retrospective in a public space for 40 years and will feature more than 100 masterworks in oil, gouache and pencil. Most are previously unseen and from private collections, and the chronological display will show clearly his progression from 'neo-romantic' to 'existential' artist of the time. |
